Q: Can these be used on external locking doors?
A: Pennyaids automatic door systems are designed to fit every type of door, a special door type is not required, although Chubb type latch lock is required

Q: I have a door with an automatic closer - can your system still be used?
A: It will fit an existing fire door that is already fitted with an automatic door closer.
Our system will open the fire door and hold it open for as long as required, then upon release the door will close as normal

Q: I will need four automatic door openers - how many compressors will i need?
A: Only one compressor is needed, regardless of how may automatic door openers are fitted in the building.
For larger buildings a larger compressor may need to be fitted.

Q: How are your automatic door openers powered?
A: All these systems are powered by low pressure compressed air.

A: The compressor is fitted with a cylinder to store the compressed air, and the control system has a battery back up.

A: The opening times of the door can be set as required

A: The opener does not effect the normal use of the door

A: The opener uses only enough force to overcome the resistance of the door. It will not try to apply excess force if it cannot close

Q: Can your door opener work with my door entry intercom system?
A: Yes. We can connect into most door entry systems to release the door latch without the need to change the entry system.
