Example 2 of PennyAids air assisted automatic door openers
Entrance doors into rooms in a corridor.
Four individual openers were fitted to a door in a council run day centre.
All the doors were fitted with closer mechanisms which were to be retained.
The doors which opened outward into the corridor were fitted with an audible and visual alarms to indicate when the doors were moving or about to move.
The doors were mainly to be used by people with limited dexterity and so large pushbuttons were installed.
Each door is managed by discreet electrical control boxes fixed to an adjacent wall at a high level.
A single compressor was used to supply air to all four doors.
This system also operates the entrance the office in the center.
This entrance is also by the use of a push button on each side of the door. It is also fitted with a door closer mechanism
